Carnival Says No More Cougar Cruises

"Hunting season is over at Carnival Cruises.

The “fun ship” line has announced that it will ban the concept of “cougar cruises,” even though spots on the maiden voyage sold like hot cakes.

Imaginations have been running wild over what in the world happened aboard that boat to make Carnival say “no mas,” but the cruise line has remained very buttoned-up on the subject."

Norwegian Cruise Line is now offering Savings Certificates for three-day weekend getaways and four-day short vacation Cruises on Norwegian Sky, the youngest ship sailing short Cruises from Miami with the most balcony staterooms. For sailings from now through December 31, 2009, guests booking a cruise on Norwegian Sky will receive special Savings Certificates that they can use once on board. These savings include casino credits, spa incentives and family portrait and shopping discounts.

Carnival To Operate Year-Round Cruises from Charleston

Carnival Cruise Lines, the world’s largest cruise operator, will introduce the first year-round cruise schedule from Charleston, S.C., with the deployment of the 2,056-passenger Carnival Fantasy in May 2010.

Carnival Fantasy will operate five-, six- and seven-day voyages to The Bahamas and Key West, Fla., from the Passenger Terminal in historic downtown Charleston beginning May 18, 2010.
