NEW YORK — Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. said Thursday that fourth-quarter earnings tumbled 98 percent, missing Wall Street's expectations and reflecting a sharp drop in cruise bookings, higher-than-expected fuel costs and unfavorable foreign exchange rates.
For the quarter ended Dec. 31, net income fell to $1.4 million, or 1 cent per share, from $70.8 million, or 33 cents per share, a year ago.
MSC Cruises has announced a new 2009-10 Caribbean program featuring MSC Poesia. The ship, which joined the MSC Cruises fleet in spring 2008, will sail itineraries of 3-, 5, 7-, 8- and 10-nights throughout the Caribbean sea and to Bermuda during the winter season before returning to Europe in spring 2010.

Ok, I said cruise ship, but it's really more like a floating city! I'm talking about Royal Caribbeans new ship "Oasis of the Seas", which is currently being built in Finland. This ship is amazing. It got 'beach pool', shopping mall, rock-climbing walls, outdoor ampitheatre, and New York-style loft suites. Oh, I forgot to mention "Central Park", which is an outdoor park like area.
