ROME — Italy's foreign ministry says a chef from the country is missing from a U.S.-flagged cruise ship and the FBI is investigating.

Angelo Faliva was last seen in the kitchen of the Princess Cruises "Coral Princess" at about 8:15 p.m. Wednesday while he was working his dinner shift.

The U. S. Coast Guard reports via its Twitter page @uscoastguard that the Coast Guard Air Station Miami helped rescue a 62-year-old man who went overboard from the Silver Shadow cruise ship this morning.

Passenger Ronald Shulman went overboard about 20 miles east of Miami and was located by crew aboard the cruise ship Silver Shadow. The Coast Guard's aircrew relocated the passenger and lowered a rescue swimmer who helped him into one of the cruise ship's rescue boats.
