What exactly is it and how do you get your invitation?

You will get the invitation either the night before or early morning the same day. Normally you get it with the capers for that same day.

At the "party" you will meet somewhere and get free drinks and h'or d'oeuvres (not quite sure about the spelling on that one )

You will be greeted by the cruise director and sometimes the captain and they will tell you about Carnival and how happy they are to get your money see you again

They give you an invitation when you get in your cabin... IF you have been a past Carnival passenger.

It is basically a meeting where they thank you for choosing Carnival, show you a film about the line, and serve free drinks and horderves.  I always enjoy it.

Roundybean,

My understanding is that you are allowed to bring one guest.  So in answer to your question, yes he can go.

Call the pursers desk on your first day and ask what night the PG party is so you can plan accordingly.  That way it doesn't interfere with Supper Club Reservations or such.

I love the PG party. They should do a door prize, wouldn't that be great? However I am hearing some bad reviews about the drinks and snacks.  On our last cruise at the Capt's party the hor'deourves (sp?) were wonderful and the drinks were free flowing.  At the PG party the drinks were the same, but the hor'deourves were awful so I got a buzz on becuase I had an empty tummy.

Kimberly,

We may need to designate you as our cruise's "social coordinator."   We are going to need someone to keep everything straight, what with your sons' birthdays, our anniversary and other events.  What do you say.... (grin)?
