Back on board our most fav RCL ship and crew. Great service and it isgreat when crew remember you and call you by name saying "Good to seeyou Mr & Mrs "Guest" and welcome back." Happened so many times. Got2 or 3 calls to our stateroom from upper staff saying "Welcome Back"and some wine sent to our room. You may notice from the signature atthe bottom, we have cruised RCL VOTS a time or two. It is great to seestaff we met on the first cruise who have now moved up in better andhigher positions on the ship.

Ed, in 2008 were were on the Carnival Conquest 2 time and once in 2009. One of the bartenders moved to the Ecstasy and when we walked by she called out to us. So nice to see good service and make their friendship.

The saddest cruise we ever took was a 5-nt Celebrity cruise out of Miami. It was very inexpensive and a short cruise so we had a lot of grouchy, demanding older folks and people who look like they had never cruised before. I was horrified at how they treated the staff. We have adored our cabin stewards and dining room staff and were appalled at how they were treated. I've always treated them the way I would expect to be treated. On our last cruise (our honeymoon) our cabin steward made us a hand drawn card which he left in our cabin with wine and rose petals on our last full day. He was such a sweetheart

Have seen what you wrote in your post on a couple of cruises. Sad, because, ship crew do give up a lot to do this job. Gone from home 6-8 months a year and work 7 days a week many times.

I have seen that kind of posts several times pretty much for all cruise lines. Many times you see people focus on one or two things that goes bad and let that ruin their cruise. Instead they should be thinking of and enjoying all the wonderful experiences they had.

I have been on 3 cruises in my life and all since last August. I first sailed on the HAL MS Ryndam. The staff knew my first name and even DJ Rob got me to sing Karaoke in front of the HAL Singers and Dancers. The rest of the staff was fantastic.
My next 2 cruises was on the Monarch of the Seas. Despite being a larger than the Ryndam, the service was fantastic.
