We booked a flight on British Airways direct from DFW to London andconnect to Barcelona for $442 per person. Total is $884 USD-that is$400 USD less then ANY major web site fare. Register on the site andbook. They are a #1 deal and honest site. Got my booking after givingmy AMX card # and then went to British Airways site and there it waslisted. Printed the e-doc and now we are booked. Just Do It. Good deals

Thanks for your tip! I have been with British Airways a couple of times and it have been really good. Their service on the flight was excellent.

There is a lot of money to be saved on transatlantic flights by shopping around. We are flying to Europe every other year or so, and the price differences can be huge.

Here's some of my suggestions:

1. Book outside of school vacation time if possible.

2. September, October and November is where I usually find the best deals.

3. Be careful not to search a lot on the same destinations and the same travel dates on the booking engines. They are tracking your searches and they are raising the price when they see you keep searching.

3. Flights mid-week are usually cheaper than weekend flights.

4. Be aware of the price you compare from booking engine to booking engine. Some will initially give you total cost and some will give you the cost without taxes. Taxes on foreign airlines are MUCH higher than taxes on US airlines. Also, some airlines will charge for you to select seats, checked luggage etc...

5. Sign up for the major airlines and the booking engines email news letters. You will receive a lot of good offers by email. That's good if your flight time is flexible.
