A great time on a great old ship.
How did I book?:
Direct with NCL.
Did I get a good price?:
Can't remember
How was my trip to the port?:
Great. I worked across the street from the terminal and was able to park my car all week for free!
Embarkation/Debarkation:
Yes. We did self assist debarkation since the last time we disembarked in Charleston it was a cluster.
The ship:
Loved it. She was asmaller ship with a great staff. We felt the service and personal attention we received was better then any cruise we've been on since.
Cabin:
Yes. We had a ocean view(there were no balconies)that was very roomy and comfy.
Dining:
They had an area in the main lobby with menus for main dining room, their Italian Bistro, and a french rest.
We would check the menus each day and decide where to eat at night. We ate at the Italian place twice and the main dining room the rest of the time. All the food was very good.
Entertainment:
Yes. They had some of the headliners doing afternoon shows throughout the ship which I thought was great.
Ports & Excursions:
On Grand Cayman we did an excursion that went to Hell, a rum factory, a turtle farm, and Sting Ray City. It was a lot of fun and was pretty inexpensive.
Cozemul we did a clear bottom Kyack and snorkeled.
We did not stop at Key West due to weather but had so much fun on board we didn't care.
Overall Experience:
This was another great cruise for us because like our first cruise it left from downtown Charleston. I worked across the street from the cruise terminal and would see this ship in port each week. It was older and I heard many complaints from people getting off the boat so we when on board with very low expectations. It turned out that to this day that was one of our favorite cruises. Even though we missed our Key West port of call.
