Just a very much needed short vacation.
How did I book?:
On-line w/RCCL
Did I get a good price?:
We think we did :-)
How was my trip to the port?:
We were in the terminal at Port Canaveral by 10:45, so we had to wait until 11:30 to board, then were having our 1st DOD by 11:45 :-)
Embarkation/Debarkation:
Embarkation (see above)and debarkation was such a breeze. We were gray tags to be called at 8:20, and were actually called at 8:25, through customs at 8:35 and on the road by 8:45 :-)
The ship:
It was just what we expected, being that we were on the Sovereign prior and knew what to expect. We were disappointed to find that the Schooner Bar was totally non-smoking, as on the Sovereign you could smoke near the casino entrance, but that didn't stop us from visiting and having a few libations.
Cabin:
Junior Suite w/ balcony. We really enjoyed the space even for a 3 night cruise, and totally utilized the balcony.
Dining:
We ate in the WJ at our leisure and enjoyed everything they had to offer.
Entertainment:
The bands that we saw/heard were nothing to write home about, but it was better than piped in music.
Ports & Excursions:
We pretty much stayed on the ship. We did venture into Nassau to Senor Frogs. We did not go to Coco Cay as it was extremely HOT.
Overall Experience:
We would definitely sail on her again, as we are comfortable on this size ship and have never sailed on any other class of ship yet. And we are very close to Port Canaveral.
We just got off Monarch of the Seas this morning, so we must have left the day you came back.
It's a nice ship and we also recognized the layout from Sovereign of the Seas. We had a great cruise and we'll try to get our review up soon.
You have really spoiled yourself with the Junior Suite. I went balcony and can never go back. Had a Junior Suite on the Granduer in February and missed it so much on the Radiance....
You deserve to spoil yourself, have you booked your next cruise ??
