Our whole family, 9 of us, went on a cruise to celebrate our parent's 60th birthdays and their 40th anniversary. We decided to go in January and skipped an artic blast (-20) here at home. We had a wide range of ages to please (3 - 60) but everyone had a great time. The cruise was wonderful we ate like kings and queens, relaxed had fun dressing up and seeing all the different islands. It was a great vacation for a family like ours. We had a wonderful time and truly hope to go again soon!
How did I book?:
AAA. They did a great job with recommending us to go the day before so we did not have to rush and worry about missing the boat. Plus they helped us with all the connecting transfers to/from the airport.
Did I get a good price?:
We felt we did.
How was my trip to the port?:
It was great.
Embarkation/Debarkation:
Embarkation was smooth saling. It was very exciting to get on the boat and to leave. Pulling into port the last morning was a little shaky. We were trying to eat breakfast and it did not seem as smooth as all the other dockings. We laughed saying they wanted to make sure everyone was up and going! Getting off the boat was easy too! Although it was a little sad to leave after having had such a good time.
The ship:
We felt the ship was very clean and nice!
Cabin:
Our cabin was very nice. Our cabin steward did a good job keeping our cabin clean and getting us all the things we needed.
Dining:
We had breakfast at both the lido deck and in the dining room. We ate lunch at the lido deck and dinners in the dining room. The food was outstanding. We loved it all. There was not a meal that we could complain about.
Entertainment:
The entertainment was wonderful. We loved the music on the lido deck. We watched the movies on the lido deck at night. We made it to three shows. It was all good.
Ports & Excursions:
Nassau, we just walked around the town, went to the pirate musuem and then took a water taxi over to Altantis and walked around. Not our favorite port but was ok. St Thomas was beautiful. Here we shopped in town and then went to Sapphire beach. Then came back and did the Paradise Point sky ride. We really enjoyed our day in St Thomas. St Maarten was also a really fun day. We went to town and shopped and then went to Orient beachand then shopped by the harbor. We also enjoyed this island.
Overall Experience:
We loved the cruise. It was a wonderful vacation. We would recommend it as a great vacation to please a group of people or just to have fun with your family! We had a blast and hope to take another cruise again soon!
