A great little 4 day trip, especially Atlantis!

4 DAY BAHAMAS CRUISE ON CARNIVAL SENSATION

How did I book?:
We booked this cruise through our Carnival travel agent. His name is Jack and he is fabulous to work with.

Did I get a good price?:
I think $547 is a great price for 4 days in a wonderful CAT 11 Suite.

How was my trip to the port?:
We flew into Orlando and stayed the night before our cruise. The next morning we hired a car service to drive us to Port Canaveral. It was a very nice scenic hour drive.

Embarkation/Debarkation:
We arrived about 1:00 p.m. and walked right on the ship. We went straight up to V.I.P. check-in. It was very crowed downstairs in the regular check-in. It all went very smooth.

The ship:
We thought the ship was great. I can't think of anything negative to say about the Carnival Sensation.

Cabin:
Once we were spoiled to the CAT 11 Suites, we never sail any other way. We were on the Upper deck cabin 90. There was an issue with our carpet being wet by the bathroom, but they had fans blowing on it and it was dry in no time. The best part of the cabin is, of course, the balcony!!! OMG, I wouldn't go on a cruise without one!

Dining:
We started every morning with coffee and tea, and fruit and danishes from room service. We are very early risers. Then later we liked having breakfast on the Lido deck. Lunch was usually in the Seaview restaurant or out by the pool. We ate dinner almost every night in the dining room. The food was fabulous.

Entertainment:
We didn't go to the big shows this trip, we did go and see the midnight ADULTS ONLY comedy and loved it. Our entertainment is usually in the casino, which was very kind to us this trip. And of course, I always play BINGO!

Ports & Excursions:
Freeport...we didn't do much here but a little shopping and hang out at the bar,then it was back to the ship. Our next port, Nassau. This is what I have been waiting for. We took the guided ferry tour to Paradise Island and the proceeded on foot to the Atlantis Resort. The Atlantis Dig was fabulous. We played on the beach, lagoon, pools and awesome water slides. I highly recommend this excursion!!

Overall Experience:
Although this was an awesome trip, I don't think we will be going back there. There are just too many other places we want to go and see. We are getting ready for our next trip to Cozumel!

It sounds like you had a really great cruise. We have been in Nassau several times and I don't care too much for it. We should probably go to Atlantis next time, it sounds like a cool place to spend some time. I haven't been on Sensation, but I was on Fantasy before Sensation replaced it in Port Canaveral, and I pretty much had the same good experience as you had. I think those two ship are alike, just with different themes inside. Nice review!!
