Norwegian Cruise Line today announced its 2011/2012 summer deployment and itineraries with highlights including a new homeport in Europe; more capacity and newer ships to Bermuda from the Northeast; and a year-round commitment to New Orleans. Norwegian Sky On-Board Saving Certificates For Short Cruises

Norwegian Cruise Line is now offering Savings Certificates for three-day weekend getaways and four-day short vacation cruises on Norwegian Sky, the youngest ship sailing short cruises from Miami with the most balcony staterooms. For sailings from now through December 31, 2009, guests booking a cruise on Norwegian Sky will receive special Savings Certificates that they can use once on board. These savings include casino credits, spa incentives and family portrait and shopping discounts.

Things are beginning to stabilize in the cruise industry, and there is optimism looking forward into 2010, Andy Stuart, executive vice president, global sales and passenger services for Norwegian Cruise Line told Cruise Industry News. “I think we’ve hit rock bottom and are seeing tentative hints of pricing moving back up,” Stuart said. Record first quarter occupancy percentage of 106.9%

Norwegian Cruise Line (the "Company") reported an EBITDA improvement for the three months ended March 31, 2009 of 46.3% to $50.9 million versus $34.8 million for the same period in 2008. Net income rose to $5.2 million in 2009 versus a net loss of $145.0 million in 2008. These increases in profitability came despite a decrease in Net Revenues for the first quarter of 15.5%. NCL To Sail From Port Canaveral To The Caribbean In 2010-2011

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) today announced that for the first time in more than 11 years, the company will homeport a ship seasonally at Port Canaveral, Florida beginning October 2010. The 1,936-passenger Norwegian Sun, purpose-built for Freestyle Cruising, will sail alternating seven-day Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises from Port Canaveral, departing every Saturday from October 9, 2010 through April 16, 2011.
